The GATORs' pods

Here's the F-15D 84-0045/ET displaying what looks to us like a SATIRS pod. There's a (rather inferior) photo on North Star Systems webpage and plenty more detail at Southern Research.
This is an extract from the tender proposal and explains the AEIL II program of which SATIRS is a part
Eglin AFB, FL intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Airborne Electro-Optical/Infrared/Laser (AEIL) II Systems Upgrade and Maintenance on or about 12 December 2001, with proposals due on or before 28 January 2002. The Air Force will be seeking proposals from all capable and responsible companies with the technical personnel and expertise required to provide the Air Armament Center, 46th Test Wing, Seekers and Sensors Branch (46 TW/TSWI) with the upgrade and maintenance of the Airborne Electro-Optical/Infrared/Laser (AEIL) II systems. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541330. The estimated potential dollar value of this acquisition is anticipated to be between $400,000.00 and $1,900,000.00, which includes all potential option exercises. The AEIL II systems are three state-of-the-art airborne platforms that support a variety of multi-spectral instruments; Common Signature Measurement Pod (CSMP) (BASES II), Supersonic Airborne Tri-gimbaled Infrared System (SATIRS), and Supersonic Telemetric Airborne Radiometer (STAR) Pod. These systems are used to provide truth and signature data in support of DoD munitions testing. The AEIL II systems collect, condition, digitize, record and/or transmit to the ground, and post-mission process multi-spectral data on selected targets.

sorry Lincoln Labs but this diagram was too good not to lift!

ESS Inc had this on their website a while back but have now vanished into the ether. The only pod that has a radome like this is 'L' above
here's another view

Here's a nice diagram of the use of 'TaskRunner' as an application including the only public domain photo I've ever come across of N105TB http://www.ll.mit.edu/HPEC/agendas/proc02/presentations/Poster%20Panels/hebert_poster.pdf
